The Achilles Tang, Acanthurus achilles,  is one of the Kings of the Marine aqua-hobby.

An Exotic species, it is one of the most beautiful tangs in the Pacific Ocean.  It also known as the Red-tailed Surgeon, or Achilles Surgeonfish, is very dark brown to purple,  with bright highlights of white and orange around the dorsal, caudal, and anal fins. A white marking is also present on the gill covers and a striking orange teardrop is found near the caudal fin.

The Kole Tang or sometimes better known as the Yelloweye Tang, Yelloweye Bristletooth, Goldring Bristletooth, Goldring Surgeonfish, Yelloweye Surgeonfish, or Ctenochaetus strigosus.  This Tang comes from the waters of Hawaii to the central and eastern Polynesia and Australia and on further across the Indian Ocean.  This is a very distinguishable fish with its brown body and bright yellow rings located around the Kole's eyes. The body is also known to have light longitudinal lines or spots.

The Naso Tang, also known as the Lipstick Tang or Orangespine Unicornfish, is one of the favorite Tangs in the Hobby. Not readily available, the Naso tang varies in color with age and its even by geographic location. It tends to darken with maturity. Our Naso Tangs come from Hawaii and are often more brightly colored than those found in other areas. As a juvenile, the Hawaiian Naso Tang is dark gray with a blue stripe along the dorsal fin and an orange stripe in the anal fin. The mature Tang has additional color and features and a more reddish background. Truly a striking Aquarium resident. Most incredible is the lyretail shape the Naso Tang takes on as it matures. Individuals are found with and without "streamers" at the tips of the lyretail.
