The Xanto is found in dark waters in Brazil tribtaries. It is a bright yellow type of the rare Rubber or Chubby Pleco. The Xanto has recently been found, and is widely sought after by aficionados. It is not surprising, as its striking appearance can attest.
 
As all rubber plecos, the Xanto is an omnivore. Should be fed meaty and vegetable foods. Enjoys places to hide. The chubby or rubber pleco has been reportedly trained to eat flake food, but still prefers blackworms (see our live food section).
