A picture is worth 1000 words; the Goldie or Sunshine Pleco does not need much introduction. A hardy and robust pleco with an unusual coloration, which unlike in other plecos, is preserved to adulthood.
 
The Goldie Pleco is a strong fish which readly adapts to most aqarium environments. Its ideal environment consists of a sandy bottom with rounded gravel. Having hiding places, caves, and not too many plants on the bottom is important.
 
The Sunshine pleco's diet is also varied and easy to satisfy. To supplement its aquarium scavaging, live blackworms are ideal (currently on sale). Sinking pellets and all prepared foods that reach the bottom are accepted.
