The Leporacanthicus genus is a rather recent discovery, only first identified in 1989. Since then, several species have been added to the genus, the triactis being the most beautiful.

When having 3 or more in a tank, they are adjust much quicker and become very active and slightly territorial. Alone or before adjusting, they can spend more time hiding.
