Mormyrus longirostris
Eastern Bottlenose Elephant Fish or Dolphin Fish.
This Morrmyrid is almost never seen in the hobby. More exotic then the Common Elephant Nose fish, it is also a hardy fish used to swimmin in the african basin's reed shallows. With very highly developed sensatory organs, it can detect small worms, crustaceans, snails and even small fish even in muddy water. The very unusual look and rarity makes this species widely sought after.
Known in the African Continet as Chigonde," "Mbelewele," and "Panda" the Bottlenose Elephant-Snout can grow quite large and is a collector' species.
Note: Sometimes known as Bernhard's elephant-snout fish
