We are happy to introduce to our customers around the world, this new and exciting Koi variety.
After centuries of inter-breeding, and domestication, it is unavoidable that Koi have lost many of their wild survival instincts, and have become more susceptible to disease. In recent years, new viruses and parasites have taken a terrible toll on world Koi populations and on collector?s stock.
The Ghost Koi was developed with this in mind, by breeding vigorous wild Carp (the original ancestors of Koi before man selective-breed them for color), and selected Koi varieties picked for their patterns, form and color. The resulting Ghost Koy was predictably healthier, stronger, faster grower, more active and most importantly highly disease resistant (thus, less expensive).
However, the aesthetic results were a true surprise, and eve the very conservative Koi keeper community had to immediately admire and love the very sharp metallic form and pattern of Ghost Koi.
