Pomacanthus imperator
The Imperator, Emperor or Imperial Angel truly has a fitting name. Many consider this specimen the reigning sovereign of the reef Aquarium. Very sought after, though relatively frequently seen, this fish is never in plentiful supply.
This magnificent fish actually has two striking color patterns. As a Juvenile, it is a beautiful dark blue with white rings. Adults have alternating stripes along the body, blue and a range of yellow to greenish lines; of course with the famous black band.
Our Emperor Angles are of the highest quality from the Red Sea / Indo Pacific border regions. They are slowly and carefully acclimated in our high tech facilities upon receipt. Then only individuals that have been with us for weeks, feeding and healthy are deemed ready for sale.
We offer Small, Medium and Large Juvenile Imperator Angels. Choose these for a bargain price, and the potential to see them grow and "morph" in your tank. However, apparently individuals that "transformed"in captivity never attain those spectacular colors of the Wild Adults, due to variables still unknown. So for a truly magnificent specimen, chose our Adult Imperator Angel.

Food: Omnivore, plenty of algae and some meaty/protein foods. Is also a Grazer.
